Well, we finally got our power back on after Hurrican Ike. Both our houses took damage and the brand new cyclone fence we just purchased took hits from three different trees. We lost our only Pecan tree. We lost a total of nine trees. We will not see an insurance adjuster untill the Oct 6th. The main house that we live in is a log house that is a little over a hundred years old and the wood came off of the land. An oak tree hit it directly and all that has happened is a little roof damage. We think. We are going to have some professionals come out an look at it this week. The second house is a four bedroom modern house that is next door. It did not take a direct hit from a tree but something skipped across the roof in a few places and damaged the roof and we have a lot of sheetrock damage. Thank God it is sitting empty and I am so happy that both houses are insured. Nobody in my family got hurt and I am thankfull for that. We have a huge generator that cost us $80 dollars a day to run for two and a half weeks and was VERY happy to shut that gas pig down last night. Had to prime the well last week. Any way, back to learning from yall about bees.
