What a great stringer!!!  Can I guess who cleaned them?  My dad allways liked bream and sunfish but they dont get very big close to my house. There are a few places like Copper Breaks state park where you can get good ones but its still a good drive for me. your friend, john |

Wow. Now that's what I call a mess of fish. My grandad taught me that an electric filet knife is a bluegill fisherperson's best tool... followed closely by a hot fryer.

We just put in a small (small) bream/bluegill pond over the summer and transplanted a few minnows and a handful of small bream. I won't see a stringer full as impressive as that, but I hope I can get them up to that size.

The Georgia Farmers and Consumers Bulletin has tons of breeders in your area. The big expense is always shipping. You could probably stock up your little pond for less than couple of hundred buck with some serious shell crackers.

nice catch, when we find the shell cracker bedding here on Clarks Hill Lake in the spring, there could be 1,000-6,000 shell cracker in a single bed if you catch them at the right time, a few times we can catch about 100-300 in a matter of a few hours. good eating too |

I think walleye, trout and crappie are awfully good eatin'. A big batch of hush puppies, and sweet tea. Finish it off with a peach cobbler and home made ice cream.

In a past life, I traveled Canada and the North East quite a bit. I always enjoyed Lake Erie perch and pickerel. Fried of course.
They rank right up there with blue gill and shell cracker.
