i have received a old hive from a neighbor. one of the suppers has plastic frames. some of them are warped and half are some what drawn out. i am not sure how long they have been sitting.. i am wanting to know if there is any way to clean the wax off the frames and is there a way to fix the warped frames.

I scrape them down, put them through the dishwasher with no soap, and then re-wax them. I only bother to do this if they are really nasty though. Otherwise, I just give them back to the bees to clean up. Usually, if you put the plastic back in a frame, that takes care of any warping. If they are so warped that a frame doesn't take care of it, perhaps they are a lost cause.

Give them to the bees. They will clean them.
