I have built a neat little bee-vac, the outter box has widows so you can see into it and see if you are hurting the bees. The inner box slids out the front and is designed so you can either dump the bees into the hive or use another part that fits on top of the hive and the inner box slides on to it opening both the door on the vac and the door on the cover allowing the bees to drift into the hive as thay wish. This cover has a small feeder attached to intice the bees to get syrupe and go store in hive or what ever.
I'm designing it with a 12 volt and 110 volt interchangeable vacuum. Will hopefully be testing it soon to see how it works. If it works I will gladly build one for anyone that wants one. I haven't estimated the cost yet as I am using a lot of stuff I've had lying around.

There is a hive of bees in this guys pump house wall I plan to use it on. Will be taking pictures and writing down the procedure. Should be a load of laughs. Hopefully we will have another long warm spell about the time I get everything ready and do it then.

I've already been up to the holes where they come out of the wall. The property owner has mowed with-in ten feet of it on a noisy riding mower. Only one came after him and got him on the ear.

Hi Jerry,
Where are you at in wolfforth? I lived west of there for about 6 months. Out on 1585 past the power sub station. Thank you for the weather update yeasterday. The two hives that I am getting from this guy are not very strong yet. I did go and give them some pollen and sugar water in hopes that they will start getting stronger. If you would like to meet some time, this would be nice.

You weren't down where all the moble homes moved in were you? There is an empty one (second from county line) Was that you? We are in that place. Look for a round above ground pool if you're out this way. That would be us.

Here it is; Front of beevac  Back side vac-motor. Sucker is heavey.  The front slides out  Then the bottom slides open. There is a latch to hold it closed.  I have a part that sits on the hive body that has a door on it. When you slide the B-vac on it the vac opens the door, and the other part opens the bottom of the vac. Just in case one gets those nasty bees. |

You notice the wing-nuts on the back? The back comes off and a 12 volt version is put in its place. Haven't got to test it yet.
What looks like an extra little board at the top of the back is the suction regulator. I did vac a few of the bees this time and not one died because of the being sucked in. I might have injured a few as I got them between the end of the hose and the wall or comb.
I will try to post some pictures of the other part and how it works tomorrow.
I know nothing about plastic molding. As far as the wieght it's that motor that is heavey. It came out of a canister type vacuume. The cord is wraped around the mounting/housing made from a gallon paint can. The door closure for the hose opening is a modified mouse trap
