4th of July plans
« on: July 03, 2008, 04:58:59 PM »
What does everyone have planned for the 4th? I believe I am going to head down to Grand Isle, LA to chase the speckeled trout around, and it will be cocktails and fireworks at night :-D

How about yall what are the plans?

I will probably watch some television, mess around in the computer, go to bed. About what I do any other day.

I will visit the bees in the morning and check on all the hives (which I was supposed to do this morning, but got lazy) and then plant some seedlings into small pots.

Nothing the rest of the day, just puttering around the house. Fireworks in the evening which we can watch from the hillside where my bees are kept.

Happy 4th to you all. God Bless America!!!!

I figured fireworks would be banned this year in California. Or do they just want to burn the rest of the state

He tried to ban them, but it didn't work.Or maybe he "urged" people to not use them. Personally, I think they should be banned this year. Was down in the Sacramento Area this week and you can see all the stands selling fireworks.

They are illegal in El Dorado County, where I live, but people purchase them in Sacramento and bring them up here. Very scary

I'll be at work this year... first time I won't be having the traditional BBQ.  The good news is that at work I have an office with an incredible view.  Should be a very pleasant evening.
