Merry Christmas All:

This morning at 6:35am, as promised I delivered a dozen pastry and 8 cups of coffee to the men at the entry gate at Naval Lakehurst - I thanked the three men I was met by at the entry by saying "Merry Christmas and Thank You all for Serving Your Country."

It's not much, but I realize as Trail Twister Al had saod "it's more than most people have the opertunity to do" - working for the Navy has been a blessing in many ways, but giving our troops a small thank you is one of the more meaningful gifts I get to give at Christmas.

Just thought I'm follow up, because I had mentioned I was going to do it.

I think that's great John! Here in Concord, we have an armory where the national guard drill and deploy from, so I see the guardsmen/women around town all the time. And if I have the oppertunity, like in the post office or something, I always shake their hands and thank them for my freedom! Because if it weren't for the willingness of the brave men and women of our armed forces to put their lives on the line, we wouldn't have the freedom we enjoy today. I think many people seem to overlook this.
