favorite CHristmas carol

This is my favorite CHristmas carol. I like the message it has for the holidays. It's not about material things, it's all about what's inside you
Post your favorite holiday song here this could be a very cool thread.

The Little Drummer Boy

Come they told me
Pa rum pum pum pum
A new born King to see
Pa rum pum pum pum

Our finest gifts we bring
Pa rum pum pum pum
To lay before the kIng
Pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum

So to honor Him
Pa rum pum pum pum
When we come

Little baby
Pa rum pum pum pum
I am a poor boy too
Pa rum pum pum pum
I have no gift to bring
Pa rum pum pum pum

That's fit to give our King
Pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum

Shall I play for you
Pa rum pum pum pum
On my drum

Mary nodded
Pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time
Pa rum pum pum pum
I played my drum for Him
Pa rum pum pum pum

I played my best for Him
Pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum

Then He smiled at me
Pa rum pum pum pum
Me and my drum
"Lurch my good man,…what did you mean when you said just now that 'You've got better things to do than run my petty little errands'…….?"

The one that always brings a tear to my eye is Ava Maria, my father was an Alter Boy in a small Catholic Church when he was a dirt poor child during the depression.  This song was special to him, it was the only song I ever heard that could bring tears to this ROCK of a man.

On this day that we Celebrate the brith of Jesus, I would like to remind anyone who has NOT read the TRIBUTE to MY FATHER that I have a webpage which I wrote shortly after his passing - it recaps not just his life, but how we all need to be remembered when we are gone.

I hope that on this special day that everyone (if nothing else) remembers those who have passed that were special to you and recognise those who are still here for all they have meant to you in your life.

Please read the Tribute, it may not be the most elegant Christmas tale you will read, but I think it may be one that is eye opening to some.

Yeah I know it is after Christmas. After thinking long and hard about this, And as I can't really say I have a favorite carol, one that really puts a warm spot in me is Silent Night. Not just the song but the way it is sung and by whom. I love to hear the song when sung by children with no musical background.
:rainbowflower:  Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.   :rainbowflower:
