A black hole is just a heavey mass. Some matter that has a great gravitational pull. As this mass draws in more material the gravity increases. The gravity becomes so great everything is compressed. After awhile the gravity becomes so great that light can excape its pull. It actually draws in light and thus you have a black hole. Black because of the light not being able to leave. If a person is caught up in a black hole, the only thing that will happen is the person will be crushed, and become a part of the mass of the "black hole".
After awhile the pressure becomes so great there has to be a release. There would be an explosion and the mass will scatter into space. This is cauld a nebula I believe. Just a cloud of dust from such an explosion. All that other stuff Ryan has been talking about is pure science fiction.

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
