no, these were the 1st batch of dogs that were in my pasture and pinning me on my back porch. two rottweilers and two heelers. this was the guy with LDS, who's manhood was projected (in his mind) with the ownership of big, unruly, un-neutered, dogs. LDS is a pseudo-medical term that refers to a deficiency of a certain part of the male anatomy.

Might be a good idea to move the gun/killing stuff to the Coffee House?? Just a suggestion, please don't shoot me. I am fortunate to live in a somewhat rural area...and so far no complaints from surrounding neighbors. Bees are everywhere, I don't understand why your neighbors are goombas...Hey but some people hunt, some people shoot guns, some people don't, some people hate bees, some don't... In the words of Israel Kamaka'wiwo'ole "What a wonderful world"...

I'd say if you only threatened to shoot his dogs, you were quite restrained. In many rural areas the rule regarding varmits is "shoot, shovel and shut up".

This is funny. My thread got lost somehow.... Well I had a visit by the local PD today with a complaint about my bees.... SO now I am getting rady to get with my Alderman to have it put on the books that I can have up to 4 hives on my city lot..... That will replicate one of the local high end cities here in the KC area. haha I can see my strongest 4 colonies coming back real soon.. Woohoo..... Or should it be Lock and Load baby...

i'd put the bees back before you are told that you can't. seems to me that if they are there it would be harder to make you move them. if they are gone, they may not let you bring them back.
what was the complaint? just that you had bees?? had anyone been bothered by them?

Back off guys! I am a gun owner. Yeah pistols and rifles. Somebody set fire to my property! Look out! I think the guy handled things as well as he could. Just didn't see the jump to AR15s as a likely next step. I have some neighbor issues myself but I don't think they need to be blown away for their concerns. I took over a bee book and have been keeping them posted on the progress of the hive and have not heard another word. The guy threatening a fire is most likely a loud mouth short person with a small ******. I love shooting prairie dogs, not everybody does. Thats ok. I am a veteran, not everbody is. Thats ok too. Lighten up!!

I have been pretty patient thru this whole ordeal thus far. I didn't mention the guns as a solution to this particular situation, it was more of a general comment that I have a few laying around for the occassion where it is highly needed. I hope that situation never comes....

So the formal complaint is simply I HAVE BEES IN MY BACK YARD. Not that the neighbors are being stung. Nothing of that sort......... Just simply I have bees in my back yard. Hmmmm.... So anyway the neighbor that called the police on me was letting his dog run loose yesterday as he does alot and it came into my yard as it does many times in the past. Not to mention his other 4 dogs were barking past 9pm in my little city neighborhood. Not that any of that bothered me before, now its his turn for the police to come visit him.... My lovely bride will be filing a complaint to the Police Dept this morning about his dogs, as I know there is a leash law and noise ordinance in my little city....

And so the war begins.
Bummer for your problem, hope it works out for you. Neighbors can really be a PITA , I am so glad I only have one, and there kind of far away. But they also have loud barking dogs, there tied and caged but they bark all day and all night. Oh well, leave me alone I leave them alone.

Funny, I had same problem w/ neighbor and barking dogs and his complaining about my bees. I files charges againts him. I haven't heard the dogs in weeks. I went to court and agreeed not to prosecute for one year if they behaved. they have. The jerk bought five shock collars for his dogs. They used to bark from 7am until 10pm. Now silence!
BMAC-Did they find out about the bees b/c you gave them honey?
