Hey newbies and new members to the site, PLEASE when you fill out your membership information PLEASE post your location, that means where you live, where you reside, such as country and state, city or province.

Its really not that difficult to do, really. This way when you post a question we know how to answer you better.

HOPELESSLY LOST is not a location!!!

Thank You!

This drives me nuts, btw!!!!!!!! grin

it must be a choice or the default???  they don't all pull it out of thin air.

Yes, it is the default if left blank.   The idea is to give them some insentive to add their location.  Having in blank doesn't catch their eye (or JP's) as "Hopelessly Lost" does.

Could a location be made a required field with no default?

Sure it could be, but that would be a hit to the base forum code as currently the location field is not part of the registration process.  That would make upgrades not seamless, so don't expect it to happen.
