the wings ran over Boston yesterday in a "matinee"   I was getting ready to watch the usual 7 or 7:30 and it had been over for hours.   Really a Matinee on Columbus day.

anyone see the dirty hit by  Cody McLeod on Nick Kronwall?   Mcleod was kicked out of the game and Kronwall left on a stretcher.   Hope Shanahan hands out a well deserved punishment for this one

I didnt see the hit. But, i think a lot of the cheap shots are a result of the new NHL. The NHL has pushed to get out of the fisticuffs because they dont want that on TV. Due to this fact there are a lot more cheap shots by players that no longer need to look over thier shoulder for the goon to jump on them. THe new NHL does not have space on the roster for the goon because of that there is no one to retaliate for the cheap shots. As a result of that now we have ballerinas that will take a cheap shot on players with no fear of reprisal. I by no means am saying i like the fighting i actually believe it slows the game down but( and that a big but) you can not remove the fighting from the game the fear of the goon has to be there to keep the skill players safe

Yep, I saw that. I think it was the next day after Dan Boyle got clobbered from behind. I think the guy in the Boyle case was sat down for 5 games.

Sharks, Wings going at it right now. Why so many empty seats?

good game Fox.    Bertuzi got robbed in the shootout.   The joe always looks like it has alot of empty seats. Last night maybe more then usual since its an monday night and the weather was crappy but they had a sellout on tickets of  20,000 plus

It was a good game. The Sharks have tried to mirror the wings for years. It showed in the way this game played out. No skating room.  Yeah, I agree, Bertuzi was robbed! When I saw Niemi's leg go up, I cracked up! Bertizi's reaction was priceless.

Wish we could have had a better game weds night.  I couldn't watch but looking a the score and knowing Datsyuk and Zetterberg were both injured, it went as expected.  Congrats

Ha I agree I always wondered how they see a 3" puck from 75 yards away.  I would rather sit on my couch and watch it in HD

I had just mentioned to my girlfriend, " these don't look like the Red Wings I know"! ... Then Clearry elbowed Hannan's head.

We are running out of forwards.  Capt Zetterberg  herniated a disk during the Olymipics and will be out for the rest of the regular season.  Darren Helm's headachs have returned so is out until futher notice and they just benched Datsyuk for a inflamed knee.  Hope our backup goalie can play forward.    Just when you think its really bad it get worse

Yeah, I just read a story about the Wings at Yahoo sports. Does not look good.
Sharks have a bit of a goalie controversy. Staylock (spelling) may be the guy.

4/10 of a second left in overtime and the wings take down the crosby kids.  If this was the last game we win this season I would be OK with it.  Man I hate those penguins
