in this new NHL any team can win sometimes.  We still have alot of time.  My inlaws live in Pitt and they have been giving me a pretty good beating.  I know you guys are really excited.  It is you first time here but remember, the Wings make it here every year and its not by luck.  Our best shooter Franzen has been out for the last week with concusion like simptoms.  We'll see how tonight goes

Yeah, where did that guy come from anyways.  You didn't hear his name all year long and then all of a sudden he's Pavel Datsuk the 2nd.

Hey that's really cool.  I met Bernie at our Profit Sharing meeting a couple years ago.  It was fun to rag on him a bit about the Pens.

No...no...not rag on him rag on the Flyers.  If I recall my hockey knowledge, he was apart of the game that got real foggy on the ice.  I think they had a name for it but it eludes me right now.  Fog-something...against Buffalo?  Anyway, I didn't know it at the time but it would have been cool to talk about that with him.

I work for a large publicly traded grocery chain.

nope that is the air of confidence. Pens should have little trouble blowing the wings off the ice. Heck look what they did to the Flyers grin

No I'm just giving you a hard time I think this series has seven games written all over it. both teams are fast with great blue liners and superb goalies. it should be a great series

Nah...just in a "blah" mood lately.

I dunno about all that.

Should make for an exciting series.  I will be watching game 3 from a friend's house, who happens to be a Wings fan.  I am contemplating on making the pilgrimage to Penguins' hockey mecca (yes, the Igloo) and watching game 4 with the masses while the Pens are on the road.

I agree.  At least 6 games.

dETROIT HAS  TOP SHELF DEFENDERS AND DEFENSE USUALLY WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS, aLONG W/ A TWO TIME STANLEY CUP GOALIE. I AM OF OPINION YOU USUALLY HAVE TO LOSE A FINALS TO WIN ONE. EDMONTON, COMES TO MIND.

Konasdad I sort of agree with having to lose to win, but sometimes when you are young and inexperienced as most of Pittsburg team is you don't realize all the rules about winning. alot of times they go out and win then someone will tell them " hey you werent supposed to win"  but by then it will be to late they will be sipping champagne out of LORD STANLEY

I am trying to dig into the Penguins history archives in my mind to remember, but unless I am mistaking the first two Cups that Pittsburgh won were the first two times making it to the Finals.  The year following, which would have been trip number three, they got beat in the semi-finals to the Isles.

Unless I am full of baloney, I like Keith's theory best  grin
