Prior to the Olympic break the Sharks were 13 games out of first, behind the first place Ducks. Last night the Sharks took down the Ducks and lead by two!

nail biter season The red army whipped the Maple leaves last night and Darren Helm had a hat trick.  Right now we have mostly Michigan kids on the team.   All our swedes and Russians are injured.  Today we are kicking Tampa's a$$.

7 games left in the regular season.   Our schedule is scary!  We have Boston the #1 in the east.  We have Pitt the #2 in the east.  We have St Louis the #1 in the west and Montreal the #4 in the west.  We have 2 games with Buffalo that we better win.  They are terrible this year and 1 game with Carolina that is also terrible.

the old saying goes beat half the people ahead of you and all the teams under you and you make the playoffs

Flyers in the last few games have destroyed the Pins and Habs. SOL to Boston and played the blues to a scoreless tie only to lose in the shootout. Flyers seem to be putting a team together for a playoff run. It looks like we will get the rangers

most of our stars are injured and replace by the grand rapids griffins.   There is one cool thing about that is we now have more Michiganders then swedes.

Congrats Keith on Philly getting a playoff spot.  You to Fox.   We need 1 more point to clinch a spot for a record 23rd season in a row.   With 3 games left that would be easy but 2 of the games are Pitt and St Louis.  They will be tough to beat but the 3rd is Carolina.   Crazy season with so many injuries.  We have called up 15 minor leaguers to fill injury spots

The last time we face the Bruins in the first round was 57 years ago.   It will be tough but our one ace in the hole is they won the cursed presidents trophy.

Yep but look at it this way you have to beat everybody to win it all anyway might as well get them out of the way now.

Do you like the new playoff format? Im not sure I like it yet I liked the best eight with 1vs8 2vs7 so on and so forth

I know I dont like it but sometime I have a problem with change.   I still dont like the trapizoid and that change was about 10 years ago.   The new format just seams more confusing

I agree on trapezoid thing. Not sure, or cannot remember why this was implemented.
Sharks were great last not at the Tank. Hope they can keep it up.
Glad to see the wings in the playoffs. Keep the streak going!

They started the trapezoid so the goalies couldn't become a 3rd defence.   I always thought it had the potential to increase injuries with the races to the pucks in the corners.   Wings really looked good last night.  Bet the bruins didn't see that one coming

Thank you Danno. Takes me back. I grew up in Chicago. I remember the Bobby Hull, Chico Macki and Phil Esposito Line. I also remember Gordy Howe. .... Love him today. Hated him back then, He had a horrible reputation. Freddy Stanfield of Chicago was on all fours, trying to get up when Howe cracked him on the back of the neck with his stick. The camera caught it the refs didn't. The game was much different then.

I have a old autographed photo of Bobby Hull bloody with a obvious broken nose.    Gordy Howe hat trick was a goal, a assist and a penalty
