That's one good look hive. With a hive like that, I'd be surprized if the bees ever leave home.

Janemma,
Great job on the painting. It sure makes it more personal! did all that snow from the other day melt already or was this taken before the snow?

Oh my goodness, are my hives boring...that is the cutest thing...This look like decals or stickers. Where on Earth did you find them...Perhaps I shall become more artistic with the woodenware some day...

Yes its stickers over white paint - just individual flower stickers from the scrapbook store that I arranged into a a design and added some bee stickers. All the other supers will just have bees on them. I've varnished over the top with a couple of coats to keep them in place (hopefully!!!) All the snow has now gone - it goes fairly quickly this time of year and wee've been having good temperatures up to 20c thankfully - still no blossom or leaves but in the next week or two hopefully! 4 days until my bees arrive 4 days!!!!! Thanks everyone

Now I feel like such a slacker. I was all proud of myself for getting three of the four sides of the hive painted white. That's really cute!

How pretty! Hopefully your bees will be here on time...waiting longer would be awful!! You will love having your own bees, they are soooo cool & you will want to look in the hives every day to see what they've done ( I restrain myself & make it 1x a week) They are such amazing creatures but my hubby gets tired of me running in spouting what wonders they did today!! Know the feeling, that last week of waiting seemed like a month!
