I checked my new hive and the queen is out, they are making comb, everything looks good.  grin
Here's the burr comb I removed from where the queen cage was.

To bad it wasn't full of honey. You could have checked to make sure no bees were on it and ate it right there on the spot. Smiley ;)doak
