birdhouse bees cut out

Going to do the cut out on the birdhouse bees JP and I talked about earlier. my question is do I cut the combs down to the size of the frame and discard the rest or do i try to stick it all (comb) in there and let the bees figure it out. i plan on placing the combs between some rubberbands to hold it up will the bees just join this to the frames?

Get ALL of the BROOD comb in the frame. The bees will stick it all together.
