whats the river situation down there,i am hearing they may open the spillway gates in N.O.the river has crested up here but more rain and water coming.smaller rivers and lakes getting full too.

they are doing everything they can to not open the spillway. right now the crest will be a few feet below the 1997 flood which was also the last time the spill way was open. we are pretty well protected behind the levees as long as you forget about Katrina .  Pretty much only farmland and pasteur land is on the river sides of the levee. but its still weird to walk around downtown New Orleans and have to look up to see the ships passing.

i hear ya keith.most of the land we hunt is under water right now.the corps is holding all the area lakes until river goes down a little.saw some pics of water right up to the levee around vicksburg area.deer all over the place right now.take care.bill
