Back into bee's in Danville,Va.

I have had hives in the past, in a different location, only to have a bear destroy them. It's been four years now and the first of May I'm getting two nucs from a bee keeper friend. I live closer to a town now so I'm hoping that the bears will stay away. I'll be getting Buckfast bees. The keeper that is setting me up has been using Buckfast's for eight years now and he swears by them. He has had no problems with mites, parasites,or hot hives, and he keeps fifty hives going. Wish me luck, and I really enjoy the forum. A lot of good stuff going on here. Bee master,I like your videos on youtube. Keep up the good work. Also I was a high press. operator for our utility company. I'm now an electrician for the same company. Thanks again, Jim <><

Jim, welcome to our forum, glad that you are enjoying your visit here. Good, you have been under the spell of the honeybee, otherwise you wouldn't be getting back into them after that trauma of losing your hives to the bears before. Excellent. Stick around, we love to have new members come on board here, to tell us of their experiences with the bees, ask questions and give answers. Come May you will be getting back into the bees and having some good ol' fashioned fun with them, yeah!!! Nice to have you join in here, have a wonderful and awesome day, Cindi

I like doing cut-outs, but I love catching swarms!

Welcome back to a fine world, the world of bees! Here's hoping the bears don't eat these, this go round. Welcome to our neck of the woods!
