I thought there would be a better turn out here. Seems no one wants to play. Make me feel like Janis Ian at seventeen
I am ready to play. I don't know why this wonderful post you have started slipped through my fingertips, as I am, believe it or not Cindi! sentimental.
These songs at this moment come to mind, I am sure I can think of more, but this is a start:
You started it Jerry so here is my tearjerker.
My best friend at the time, I was 13, died of an aneurysm. We tried to get together after 8th grade graduation and kept missing each other, playing phone tag. He was a good friend, we used to get into trouble together, fish, and he had a dirt bike, which was cool. His younger brother found him in their swimming pool.
This song I remember hearing it for the first time right after he passed. I still get choked up now when I hear it. The family was very loving and close nit, and were crushed as we all were.
This song gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it, and I think of my father.
This is a song that did something to me when I was a kid and it still fills me.
I couldn't find my absolute favorite version of this one which was an mtv, unplugged version, but this will do, even though the quality of the video is not 100%
