Cropped a Few Pics for Detail
«
on:
March 21, 2008, 06:24:36 PM »
Yesterday was the first real good warm day that the bees could work here in central Illinois since the maples opened up. They're working them hard. But...low to mid forties the weekend!! Suppose to warm up
again
next week.
Took a few pics and cropped them to get some more detail. Fuzzy little buggers aren't they?

I'm in awe of their beauty! They ARE fuzzy! The wings are shiny & colored...all I could say was "look at that!" Wonderful pictures of these wonderous insects!
Good Job!

Wow! What kind of camera are you using?

Arvin, really, really nice closeups of these gals, wow!!! Yes, they are hairy, that is depictive of the Carniolan bee. I am pretty sure there are other races that are hairy too, but the Carniolan have been nicknamed "the hairy bee". Now nice. Thank you for sharing, bring on some more, hee, hee. Have the best of this beautiful and wonderful day, Cindi

Cindi,
These are Russians, evidently one of the other races that are hairy, too! As the weather warms up, there are certain to be more pics to follow.
Thanks to all for the compliments.
