The bees are bringing in pollen now. Not sure of the source. Did find the Skunk Cabbage to be in bloom. Generally it's the first pollen of the season.

You got that right. I noticed the maples coming out bright red about 5 days ago, mullberry is starting to bud (it's a strange fruit where the flower is internal and never exposed, no nectar or pollen for the girls -- but I am glad to see them breaking open). |

It was 61 degrees here in Eastern Kansas (near Kansas City) today. The bees were bringing in a dull, light colored pollen. I'm not sure what variety it is as I can't see anything blooming yet.
The forcast for the next two days is highs in the 30's and lows in the mid 20's. I sure hope it doesn't wipe out the pollen source.

Foothills of North Carolina the Poplar are in full bloom and the Mountains are only about 1.5 to 2 weeks away from Full Poplar Bloom!
