You won't have any problem with pests if you have no place to keep bees.
Sincerely,

I like doing cut-outs, but I love catching swarms!

I sure like the idea of bee sanctuaries. Never could understand why people want to live in a subdivision right next to houses, with houses on both sides of them, behind them, in front of them. I like trees, and land. There are a few places near to where I live that have subdivision rules, where lots have to be a minimum size such as 3 and a 1/2 acres or more.
Sincerely, JP

I envision a day when beekeepers will have to play chicken w/ the government and threaten to not pollinate in twps, miniciplaities and counties that begin to zone out beekeeping. We need to fight back.
Also, Jefferson believed a five acre plot was conducive to farming enterprise, wildlife management and promoting an educationed lifestyle.

If a 3.5 acre plot were the minimum, I'd have to live 100+ miles from work to be able to afford it. 2 acre plots near me are starting at $800k. Plots bigger than that are mostly unavailable.
