Australia has come to its senses and now has a Labor Government in each State as well as a Federal Labor Government. We are totally Governed by the enemy of the rich exploitative capitalist running dogs.
It is my opinion that here in the U.S., our gov't works best when it is not controlled entirely by one party. It seems like when one party has a majority in both Houses of Congress, and a President of the same party, things get too out of balance.

Our new PM began today by making a statment upon the death of Bernie Banton, 65 who died as a result of asbestos poisoning. That is 100% more than previous PM did in 11 years. A state funeral has been announced in recognition of his fight. This one act clearly demonstates the difference between the two Governments. Until last week, Bernie was considered a pest.

i'm glad he makes you feel good.  for some people feelings are reality.

How much of that 6 billion was lost before the proper people got it? In the U.S. the legal firms would have been the ones hitting the gold mine on that one.

Yeah, I too think governments are a pendulum back and forth, doing best in the middle where they are completely paralyzed by the inability to come to a consensus, allowing the little people to get something done.  Until some whack-job like Hugo Chavez or Mao gets into power and then wrests the power from all of the others.

i still believe that if we sent congress home for 9 months of the year, we'd all be a lot better off.  does not matter who is president, most of the damage is done in congress or court.   if they all were doing what they were supposed to be doing, which is not much, we wouldn't need them sitting in DC sucking up tax dollars while they thought of  new ways to screw us.

but....i can see the ecstasy building as some contemplate the opportunities of Billary and a democrat congress.  we might be better off joining Mick in Australia!!   evil

Even the founding fathers warned against a full time legislature.

The phrase I hate (are you listening Politicos) is: For the greater good.  I can't think of a more decietful comment.  All I know is that if it's for the greater good it ain't good for me.

Excellent point Brian.   Unfortunately today's society wants to interpret it as all men are entitled equally.  No one wants to work for anything anymore, they all want it now.    The majority of the rich get that way from hard work.  Yes you can pick out instances of bad rich people and these are the ones that the liberals like to set as the definition of "rich".   Likewise,  you can also pick out examples of bad illegals that are drug dealers and gang members, but the irony is that these same liberals want us to think of  all illegals are hard working and honest.  Kind of hypocritical  huh

The rich are the ones that make this county succeed.  If it wasn't for the rich spending their money there would be no economy or jobs.  When was the last time you got a job from a poor person?  I don't consider myself rich,  but I guess under the democrats tax proposals I am.   So be it.  I am not ashamed one bit as I have worked hard for everything I have obtained.  I have had a paying job since I was 8.  I worked my way thru college with loans and have continued to build my skills to make myself competitive.  Isn't that what America is suppose to be about?  The opportunity to work hard and make your own destiny.
