OK, so I googled Virkon S.  Some talk about it being the sterilizing pink stuff mixed with water, the fumes can go up your nose.

In my wine kit, there comes a pink powder that is used for sterilizing the wine apparatus, watch out if it goes up your nose, I wear a mask.  I can bet it is the same stuff, but I think this in the wine kit goes by a different name.  Hmmm....some food for thoughts here.  Have a wonderful and great day, Cindi

Wine stuff is potasium metabisulfate. It generates sulfur diokside. Its duty is kill the yeast, not you.
