Worker bees deserve to gain some admiration from us because compared to the other bees inside the colony. These bees are doing almost all the work. They protect and feed the queen bee. They also protect and feed the drones until the time that they are already needed by the queen. If you think those are already a lot of work, you must know that there are still some other tasks that worker bees keep on doing. They also collect nectars. They will go out of the colony and fly from flower to flower just to get the precious nectar and then they will turn the nectars that they have collected into honey. They will also choose the next queen bee when the queen is too old or when the queen died. Although it is true that a colony cannot survive without the queen, imagine not having these worker bees. Life inside the colony would truly be miserable without them.
