If his first harvest tasted like turpintine, I would like to know what the hell were the flowers they were pollinating?
Sincerely,

Jessie is my mentor. He keeps me in the bee business. I helped him with his fair booth the year. Lots of fun!!
He is trying to revive the Heart of Ga Beekeepers. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Perry Ga courthouse. If you are in the area, please join us. Our next meeting is 10/16 /2007.

This is in the article:
"He was the only one to eat his first harvest.
"It tasted like turpentine," McCurdy recalled with a laugh.
The bee charmer explained that the honey had absorbed the flavor of the pine tree and that made it bitter. But he ate it anyway, he said."
I skipped over it the first time I read it.
