Bee Skep Cake
« on: October 04, 2007, 01:39:20 AM »
For my book club (we read A Hive of Suspects - a mystery in which the bees are suspected of murdering the beekeeper), I made a skep beehive cake with a pan my daughter gave me from Williams Sonoma - it turned out cute.  I couldn't find candy bees, so I made little bees out of yellow jelly beans with almonds for wings!

Tasted good, too!

Linda, how cute, that depicts the woman that you are, I admire that  :) ;) :)  I love you, you are a testament to how our lives should be lived.  Beauty.  Have a wonderful day, great health wishes for us all.  Cindi

So cute!! What a great idea. How did you get the stripes on the jelly beans?? Perhaps you could share your wonderful recipe with us here or on your blog??? I would love to make this cake for friends as they would get a real kick out of it.
