A bee counter
« on: July 16, 2004, 10:07:09 AM »
Hi!

Was interrested if someone had tried to monitor the flying activity in a bee hive.  Could be fun to see how the activity changed during the season, and changing as the weather and flow conditions changes.  Even though measuring the weight of the hive would be simpler and still give some of the same information, I think it sounded interresting.

Of course there were someone that had done this  :D
You can read something about it here (search for "bee counter" as it is a very long page):

Not quite what I was looking for, but quite cute...

There is a picture of the final hive setup here:

I would like to have one of those :D

I have to mention one more site, by the way.  When I searched for bee counting on google, this was one of the first things I found:

Not quite what I was looking for, but it was kind of cute ...
