Update on Hive One

Hi All,
Hive One appeared to have a laying worker because there were multiple eggs per cell.
Well, nope. I found the queen. And a supercedure cell. My guess is that the bees didn't like the queen that was put in the nuc and killed her, or she died, and this one hatched within a few days of arriving. She's just young, and for a few days, young queens may put multiple eggs in a cell (I don't think any of my books warned me about that...). Anyway, she's doing her thing, and properly now.
Phew!
Both hives seem to be working the clover in the pastures around my house.Because I got them as 5-frame nucs 10 days ago, my big worry is building them up for winter rather than getting a harvest this year. I'm feeding them as much as they'll take and keeping my fingers crossed.
