Out of the very few performances I have watched on shows like that, she was the best singer I have heard. Such a warm fuzzy feeling when and underdog rises to great heights.

I'm just a teary eyed bowl of pudding when it comes to some of those shows - they toss in all the emotional music and stuff and I turn to mush. There are actually quite a few surprizingly good performances, I enjoy small triumph videos like these!

Just surfing some more, and you hear a lot of Jennifer Hudson copycats, in the America's got Talent there was a girl who nailed it well, but THIS GIRL (even in a cheaply made talent show) blew me away:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsGaDvCxqcU" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsGaDvCxqcU</a>

Wouldn't it be amazing if she didn't speak a word of English - totally possible and quite remarkable if so!

Thanks for the links. I've sat for an hour or so at a time watching the Brits but don't care a whit (or a whig) for the American versions. Haven't watched in a while, but my favorite so far was Kate and Jin, the dancing teenage girl/border collie duo. I also follow Eastenders reruns. The Brits aren't so hung up on physical appearances; they WILL let story and talent speak for themselves.

By the way, the Greek father-son dancing duo I also found heartwarmingly entertaining. Bellies would never be so tolerated in the U.S. even though that's what so many 'cans actually look like, ya think?

I saw him on GMA one morning, amazing voice, but that'll change someday - although I'll bet it'll still be a great voice once he matures.
