Has anyone ever thought or have fed the bee away from the hive like with some sort of container holding sugar water with a cover over it to protect it from rain and leaves. Would this work or a waste of time?

 a thousand liter tank and by-drop dosage with 12-14% sugar water. it has to be at least 100meters/yards away from the hives, but you should check about your "neighbour" bees. |

a while back Mr. Bush had posted a feeder for me that was on the top and could be used with a top entrance also. Could you please repost the link? I would need to remove my SBB to use the Jay feeder. Thanks in advance.

Wow, and I've been excited because (finally) my girls have chosen my dog bowl with sand like this and I see seven or eight bees in there at a time! they previously preferred the cast iron smoker inserts that would fill with rainwater. I tricked them, though...I moved the bowl by the smokers, so when the water in the smokers evaporated, they found this great source right there. |

Any top feeder can be used with a top entrance by simply putting shims under the feeder (if it's a box) or the inner cover (if it sits on that). > Could you please repost the link? That would be the picture alright Michael. I guess my next question would be are the NUCs shown top entries? If so are the mason jars mounted in the migratory covers?
